Background: Anita is a necromancer, and animator, and known as The Executioner. In her world, vampires are well-known and have rights just like human beings. However, if they screw up in a big way? They send Anita Blake after them. She is very practical and has a twisted sense of humour. She has no problems saying what she thinks and that sometimes leads to trouble.
Anita is one of the most powerful necromancers in the world. She can raise and intere zombies, sense the dead, sense vampires and lycanthropes and estimate their power level, and can resist (at least partially) mental influence from vampires. She can raise zombies that are centuries dead, and can do so without human sacrifice. She is one of the few necromancers who can act as a "focus" to combine the powers of multiple necromances, and is the first person in centuries that can raise vampires (during daylight) as if they were zombies. Her power would allow her to perform magic with the proper training. She's not a witch, but a witch has been her mentor and she has picked up a few beliefs and teachings from her.
Anita holds a bachelor's degree in preternatural biology and is a trained vampire executioner. She also has a two-semester background in comparative religion.
She is Nimir-Ra (Leopard Queen and female leader) of the Blooddrinkers Leopard Clan and acting Lupa (Alpha female) and official Bolverk (dispenser of justice and sometimes executions) of the Thronnos Rokke werewolf clan.
She is also Jean-Claude's human servant and is in love with him...much to her confusion. She is also in love with Richard (Ulfric of the Thronnos Rokke werewolf clan) and Micah (apparently her Nimir-Raj).
She and Richard have had an explosive on-again off-again relationship. The last time he ended things with her, he cut deeply into her heart and all of her insecurities and worries when he told her that he couldn't be with someone that was more at home with the monsters than he was.
On the other hand, Micah loves her for everything she is...and appreciates her sometimes cold-blooded practicality in several mattters.
Anita has scars along her arms, some of them very serious looking, and a scar at her collarbone where a vampire broke it while he was trying to feed on her and kill her. There is a cross-shaped brand on her arm, put there by the human servants of a vampire who had a twisted sense of humour before she killed them.
Jean-Claude has marked Anita with three of the four marks necessary to make her his human servant. This grants Anita unusual strength, durability, and rapid healing, increased resistance to vampire's abilities and an almost complete resistance to Jean-Claude's mental influence, as well as a spiritual connection to Jean-Claude himself.
However, Richard also has the marks and all three of them are a powerful triumverate --- which adds even more tension to the relationship between Richard and Anita.
Anita is very well-trained in armed combat and she is skilled in three martial arts disciplines. Thanks to Edward, she is usually well-armed and well-trained as he is the one who trained her and still works her out. She is not in love with him and he is not in love with her, but they are very close. Edward once called them soulmates. They not only trust each other with their lives --- they trust each other with their deaths.
Personality (at least 100 words, please): Anita has major emotional issues, and tends to come across as quite prickly and stubborn. She also has a strong protective streak, and usually champions any vulnerable characters who ask for her help. She's scared of her own feelings and desires when it comes to intimacy and she has been hurt -- twice -- very deeply. She's afraid to let people get too close to her, but when she lets them, she is very protective and to hurt someone she has given her protection or affection to usually is tantamount to a death sentence. The Leopards and the Werewolves mean a great deal to her and while she is no longer officially Lupa of the pack, she is still treated as such and she still does her best to take care of them. Also of note, Anita sometimes shows signs of being claustrophobic. This was caused by once waking up in a coffin with a master vampire who wanted to make her a servant and take her power.

What sort of room would you like your character to have in the hotel: Double or Triple? Anita is sometimes claustrophobic due to once waking up in a coffin so any place she stays needs to be roomy and large so she doesn't feel like she's closed in.
What brings your character to the village? What does he need to learn/achieve, etc? This can be ANYTHING big or small. Check community info for more info if needed or email the mod): The main thing Anita needs to learn is how to be comfortable with herself and who she is. She needs to learn that who she is is not a bad thing and that caring for someone isn't always going to cause you hurt.
Does your character have any skills that might be utilised in the village?: She's a supernatural investigator and can raise the dead. She's an animator and works with the police and the FBI quite often, so if needed a job like that with any police people or supernatural people would be a great distraction for her.
Five items Anita starts out with: Her Firestar handgun, her stuffed penguin Sigmund, her pager/cell phone, a silver cross, a small photo album with pictures of her men, vampires, pack and pard.
